I got into magic as a young teen and did magic for friends through high school and college. I started a college magic club (that started Mike Chaut into magic). Got an accounting degree (University of Illinois) but didn't want to be an accountant. Got a law degree (Washington University in St Louis) and didn't want to be a lawyer. Worked in the business world non-stop since 1980. Took a first date to the Midwest Magic Jubilee and married her.

We have twins - two terrific kids now 27 years old with no interest in magic. Grace is psych PhD student at Virginia Commonwealth University. Jack is a tax accountant. I enjoy running a very small medical credentialing business I started. I enjoy performing magic. So I keep doing both.
