House Rules
Howdy all,
I’m deep in preparation at my house for your imminent arrival. I’m stocking up on goldfish, worms, and Fig Newtons. Saturday’s activities will be in a couple of locations throughout Las Vegas, but you’ll be at my house all day Sunday and Monday. But before you get here, I just wanted to drop a few little guidelines for your time in my home.
My wife has asked that there be no photos inside the house (I’m trying to stay married, so I hope you’ll help me do as she wishes—she’s already going above and beyond the call of duty allowing 30 strange magicians in her house). We can take as many pictures outside as you wish—most of the activities will be either on our heated, covered patio or in the side yard.
Based on March averages for Las Vegas, you can expect pleasant, mild, and sunny conditions for your time here, with typical daytime highs around 73 degrees and cooler evenings near 50 degrees. While March is generally dry, light jackets or sweaters are recommended for the evening, with daytime sun providing comfortable, temperate weather.
As I’ve mentioned already, you are responsible for your own transportation to and from the airport to your hotel, but transportation to and from the two recommended hotels –https://www.themresort.com/hotel and https://southpointcasino.com/hotel – will be provided by us for all activities. You can stay elsewhere if you wish, but you’ll need to get to one of these two hotels for pick-up every day (1pm on Saturday and 10am on Sunday and Monday). Unfortunately, you won’t be able to drive or Uber to or from my house on Sunday or Monday, you must ride the buses with the other attendees.
We’ll provide dinner on Saturday evening, and lunch and dinner on Sunday and Monday. Plus, drinks and snacks will be available all day Sunday and Monday at my place. Plan on being away from your hotel from about 10 in the morning until 10 in the evening. That seems like a long day, but there’ll be plenty of breaks for bathroom and meals. Hopefully the days will fly by, and we’ll all be exhausted but happy at the end of our time together.
